What I will and will not do
I will not do:

Maybe, depending what you want exactly. If you're unsure, e-mail me with a brief description

Everything else is generally okay. If you're uncertain, look at what I've provided as examples and go from there. If you're still unsure, and I haven't specifically mentioned it, e-mail me and ask! (yes to gore, violence, vore, and fat furs)

When can I expect my commission to be done?

Once you have given me the specs and we've worked out what exactly you want, I will work on armiture. Once you've seen that and made sure it's in the pose you want, I will do sculpting. Once you have seen picture of finished sculpt, I'll do the painting. It usually takes me about a week each for armiture, sculpting, and painting. If you require adjustments or are slow responding to e-mail, it may add more time. Overall, it should take about one month from when you have given me the specification for your piece to finish it. If you have requested a piece over 1 foot in size, this will increase the time to finish.

Payment options

Don't you hate it when the artist up and vanishes with your cash? I realize these are expensive commissions so you may be wary of handing me a big wad of cash. You have three payment options. Shipping will be calculated at the end and due then. Shipping will be added to final payment.

What's this "armature" thing? I basically need to build the skeleton that will hold up the sculpture. It's about equivalent to the preliminary sketch for a 2-D piece.

I can accept payment through PayPal, money order, personal check, or if local, cash.

Shipping

I generally prefer the US Postal Service Priority Mail. Not everyone's favorite, but my main business ships between 5-10 items per day with them with no damage. Our local UPS office has consistently managed to break things. If you would prefer UPS, I can ship that way, but only if requested. Buyer will pay for shipping, I will pay for tracking and insurance. To estimate what final shipping will be, 6" and under will be roughly 2 pounds when boxed. Add 1 pound for each additional 3" in size.

I will ship internationally.

IF YOU WILL BE ATTENDING FURFRIGHT... you may pick up your piece in person and skip paying the shipping. I can still give you a travel box to take it home in, if you like. I can also give it to a designated pick up person at FurFright if you wish. Local buyers (southwestern CT) may pick up in person if they wish.

I've never heard of ApoxieSculpt. Is it any good? Will it fall apart in a few years?

ApoxieSculpt is used by the Smithsonian Museum. It was also used by the Chicago Field Museum to mount the skeleton of Sue the T-Rex. If it's tough enough to hold together a 65 million year plus skeleton in a museum, it will withstand normal wear and tear. Just don't hit run it over with a truck or play football with it and you'll be fine.

Ready to get a commission?

Send me an e-mail with a brief description of what you'd like and roughly how big an item you want. Once I've read the description, I'll give you a quote as to what kind of price you're looking at. Remember, what's shown here is guideline! If you have a tiny but incredibly detailed sculpture, it will be more expensive than a larger but otherwise simple piece.
