"Tight, bright, clean, slight tilt and flare to covers. Dust jacket has clean, clear surface but peeling laminate and a few tiny rips along edges. Boblingen, in Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany, was founded in 1253. During WWII the town had a Luftwaffe airbase and military barracks, the home station for the I/JG 52 (1st Group of the Jagdgeschwader 52) flying the Bf109 E-1 fighter aircraft. On the night of October 7, 1943 during World War II, Allied air forces dropped 408 incendiary bombs and 35 high explosive bombs and 70 percent of the old town was destroyed. The photos and narrative in this book preserve the town as it was before the bombing, as well as showing the aftermath. Text in German.156 pages."
